The committee does not meet in July. During the legislative session the Committee conducts bi-weekly phone calls with our senator and representatives in Boise during the legislative session. |

| The Lewis Clark Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (LCVMPO) will be holding the first of two public open houses on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Lewiston Public Library, 2nd Floor, from 4 PM to 6 PM local time. With the Nez Perce Drive to Gun Club Road extension well under design, the LCVMPO is taking the initiative to study how this new connection between Juniper Drive and Old Gun Club Road will affect the overall Gun Club Corridor. Additionally, eight other projects from the LCVMPO Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) along this corridor are being evaluated simultaneously. These nine projects are being evaluated to determine what alternatives should be considered as the LCVMPO, the City of Lewiston, and Nez Perce County move forward with each of these projects in the future. The LCVMPO has hired Keller Associates, a local civil engineering firm, to develop this study. The LCVMPO would like to ensure that the public is aware of these upcoming projects and that their input is heard as alternatives are developed. This first public open house will focus first on the existing conditions surrounding these nine projects and will provide a glimpse of what the corridor currently looks like and what the current LRTP vision is for eight of the nine projects. A second open house is currently planned for late September 2016 and will focus on proposed alternatives to the nine aforementioned projects.
